Philippians 2:5-7 NKJV
[5] Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, [6] who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, [7] but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
March the 11th, 2020 marked the beginning of a very difficult and different day in the life of our nation. It marked the beginning of a global and national pandemic. A public health crisis that has forever changed and affected the way the world, organizations, and communities exist. It forced us all into a major shift. Similarly, on April 26, 2021, I was faced with the hardest shift I have ever faced in my life, the passing of my twin, Burt.
In Philippians 2 Paul talks about a major and necessary shift in the life of Jesus Christ. He shares the one shift that Jesus makes in order to accomplish His greatest work ever. He would make a shift that would change the course of the entire world. He became a man that he might save men.
Every day our life is filled with outcomes from choices that shift our journey in life. Have you ever made any shifts in your life? Have you shifted your behavior to accomplish a goal? Have you ever shifted your belief in order to fulfill God’s plan for your life? Sometimes shifts are painful and we are forced to shift. But, that one shift can be the change that you need to put you on course to accomplish your goals in life. Just one shift can change the trajectory of your life! Don’t wait. Have faith and believe in God’s purpose for your life. Make the necessary shift. Change your world!
